Heritage

Vintage Motorsports was founded in 2005 by Michael Pechstein, whose career in automotive repair, restoration, and race car development spans more than four decades. A lifelong enthusiast and classic car owner, Michael spent years building and racing his own Porsches, bringing the same hands-on understanding of how a car should look, feel, and perform into every project that followed.

What began as a small workshop grew around a simple philosophy: every car deserves to be understood as an individual. Whether preserving a significant road car, solving a difficult mechanical problem, or developing a competition car for the track, Vintage Motorsports built its reputation through craftsmanship, engineering knowledge, and a genuine connection to the cars themselves. Today, that experience extends across vintage and modern road, performance, track, and race cars, combining traditional mechanical craftsmanship with modern diagnostic and tuning technology.

EXPANSION

In 2013, Vintage Motorsports moved into a renovated 8,000-square-foot facility in Malvern, Pennsylvania. The expanded space allowed Michael and his team of mechanics and fabricators to take on increasingly ambitious projects across both road and race programs.

Under one roof, restoration, mechanical service, fabrication, performance development, race preparation, dyno work, and vehicle storage became parts of a broader approach to caring for exceptional automobiles.

A NEW CHAPTER

Vintage Motorsports recently entered its next chapter under the ownership of Will Vanjonack, a championship-winning race car driver and longtime automotive enthusiast.

Will brings firsthand competition experience and a deep appreciation for the culture that has defined Vintage Motorsports since its beginning. His goal is not to reinvent what has been built, but to carry it forward while expanding the capabilities and opportunities of the business.

Michael remains deeply involved with Vintage Motorsports, continuing to contribute the experience, knowledge, and judgment that established the company’s foundation. Together, that continuity allows Vintage to evolve without losing the approach that made it what it is.
